This summer during our ESY program Holmstead hatched 9 baby chicks. Students and staff were enthralled by the process and once hatched, students have named the baby chicks.

Holmstead’s graduation for the class of 2026 took place on Monday, June 22nd. It was an emotional ceremony as the retirements of school secretary, Regina Finnegan, Spanish teacher, Sandra Blau, and English teacher Steve Tully were celebrated.

Teen arts night took place on May 28th. It started with presentations of sports and academic achievement awards and then proceeded to several amazing musical performances. Student artwork and photography was also on display.

Holmstead’s prom for all of our high school students took place at Portabello on May 21st. A good time was had by all!

On June 2nd, 2025, Holmstead School hosted an evening that included students receiving academic and sports awards, followed by musical performances and displays of student artwork and photography.

On Friday, January 10th, Sam L. won the 106.7 Lite FM teacher appreciation essay contest sending teacher Chris L. to an all-expense paid trip to Orlando Florida. Click on “Read More” and then click here to listen.

Staff from the Holmstead School recently attended the ASAH Conference in Atlantic City. They enjoyed the opportunity to bond, eat some good food, collaborate with other schools, and attend informative workshops.

Staff and students were treated to homemade Chili, Tortilla Chips, and Empanadas for Dia de Muertos. We also had Tres Leches and Churros for dessert. Thank you Sandra!
