Our programs currently serve students from ages 13-18 throughout the year within our middle school, high school, and Extended School Year (ESY) curricula.
At present, despite being state approved for self-contained sixth and seventh grade, Holmstead DOES NOT have any students enrolled for those grades for the 2025-2026 school year. Eighth graders are fully departmentalized for the state approved eighth grade curriculum and are cycled through music, art, and Spanish classes.
The high school program is fully departmentalized and provides the students with a diverse assortment of elective options in addition to the state-required classes. Courses that are not available through our current program, such as other World Language options, may be accessed through online programs. In addition to our average or college-prep level courses, some students can take honors-level courses, which are integrated in the classroom by subject area, as well as online AP-level courses, which are monitored by Holmstead staff in a classroom setting.
Our ESY program includes academic remediation, course recovery, ongoing therapy, related arts such as art and music, and recreational arts activities such as crafts, photography, cooking, and physical education classes.
